Strobed Roll
This is the same multi-mode on the flash as yesterday’s post, but with a metal ring rolling through the frame. It looks more like a Slinky than a single ring.

My flash has a feature called "Multi" mode, where it can fire off a high-speed sequence of flashes at a selectable frequency and duration. I just set the camera to open the shutter for as long as the specified sequence, and anything moving through the frame during the exposure will receive multiple flashes. This tennis ball is bouncing off my kitchen counter.

A very odd thing–same subject, new composition.

This is a small novelty item that’s sold, I believe, as a garden ornament. I’m not sure what real people do with it, but it makes a cute decoration on my daughter’s desk.

This image suggests that white is not necessarily white. Of course, if you’ve ever tried to match white tile with white appliances and white miniblinds in your kitchen, you know what I mean.

Now I’m experimenting with white subjects on a white seamless background.

This was just a quick test shot of my phone at my desk while I was playing with my flash off-camera. I didn’t shoot this with the intention of posting it, but I found myself liking it a bit, so here it is. It looks like a stock photo.
