Citrus Face
Speaks for itself.

Speaks for itself.

This is the entrance to our subdivision during cold, foggy weather. Taken with a tripod, long exposure, and flash.

The ubiquitous post-feast dirty plate shot.

This is just a quick shot of some pieces from an antique phone that, when positioned like this, resemble a face. Later, we’ll see some kitchen items that look even more like a face.

These are the same cookies with a little more direct lighting from camera-left. Notice the harder shadows behind the white dots on the green tree.

These are some of the cookies that went on the plate from Day 86 for the school auction. The winning bid was $125, which made Bethie proud! She did a great job decorating them. This image uses very soft, diffused lighting. Tomorrow I’ll post a second shot of the cookies with somewhat more direct lighting.

Here’s the same light as yesterday’s post, but with a background of a more appropriate theme for a camping accessory. This light is a bit of a joke in terms of brightness, but in its defense, it’s sold as a tent marker, not as a device for illuminating anything. I use it as a flashlight for night-time photography because the red light won’t mess with my night vision.
