As the sun was getting ready to set, the tulips were mostly closed up for the night. I was totally out of photos to post, so I actually had to go outside and look for worthy subjects! Fortunately, our neighborhood is well populated with tulips.
I’m no good at naming flowers, but I’m guessing this is a carnation. Whatever it is, it looked good against the yellow Spider Mum (which I was only able to name thanks to Google’s Image Search).

This is a fun flower to shoot, so I have two more images to post after this one.
That pretty well sums up this photo, shot in my new “dark field” setup.
I’ve been playing a bit with “dark field” photography, and this is one of my better experiments. The lighting really captures the sparkle of the crystal pitcher. The colorful beads were added just because I’m a sucker for bright colors.
